"A weekend for Him & Her"

Last weekend Ryan and I went to Orlando to the Hunter's Creek Garage Sale. We didn't have much like other than an awesome deal on two bikes for Madi and Maci. Maci's was only $5.00 and Madi's was $10.00. What a deal! Ryan and I have bikes and would love to start riding at the Hammock with the girls. So, now we are all equipped.
The reason I told you that story is because after the garage sale we had planned on going to IKEA, Target and more. Well, I have been sick and Ryan had started as well. After two hours at the Garage Sale, I was really sick. So, we came home.
This past Friday night, we were discussing what we were going to do on Sat. because Madi was staying the night with a friend and Maci went to the FSU game with Ryan's parents. So, we couldn't just stay home, we had to take advantage. We had already decided to go back to Orlando and do those things we didn't get to the weekend before.
As, I was searching the internet, I saw that the Florida Mall hotel is running a VERY good special of $99.00 per night. What a deal! So, we decided to go. Last year was our first visit to this hotel. It is a great hotel with all the ammenities. One of my favorite are the soft down comforter and pillows. The best part of the HIS/HER part of the blog is I could shop while Ryan stayed in the hotel room and watched football. We also could drop off bags, rest, etc. There is even a Starbuck's in the Lobby. It was great! I shopped without anyone on my heels and no one rushing me.
GREAT IDEA and my tip of the week! Ladies, book a room, do some Christmas shopping and your hubby can relax in the room.
After shopping at the Mall, Target and IKEA we headed to Cheesecake Factory for dinner. After dinner, we went to IKEA and then off to the Melting Pot for dessert. My next tip of the week. If you love dessert like me, then eat dinner somewhere reasonable then treat yourself to the delicious Melting Pot experience. It only cost us $18.00 plus tip for a delicious dessert with Smores Chocolate.
Well, with all the eating and fun we had, we did get some Chrstmas shopping done. I think I got presents for 5 people. YIPEE!!
Some of my favorite finds for myself was Origins Shampoo called Knot. It is a light shampoo with the best smell ever. Origins is a great store. It is all GREEN and has been around before the GREEN push. I love their products. I also visted my favorite makeup spot- Bare Escenutals and got a new brush and a new powder they just came out with a little glimmer in it. Their brushes are wonderful (made out of Peacock feathers). I love the makeup.

Trick or Treat

My parents had us over for a yummy dinner and sweet treats. After dinner, we all took off for trick or treating in their neighborhood. We took cousin Brady along with us to trick or treat with the girls. Maci and Brady had it made, they were pulled in the wagon while the rest of us walked. At the start of trick or treating Maci and Brady would scream "TRICK OR TREAT" and jump out of the wagon. Well, as the night when on they were hiliarious and said they just wanted to stay in the wagon. When, we pulled them up to the door they were barely saying Trick or Treat. At one point, I thought Brady was asleep. He was very content on keeping his mask on even once we got back to my mom's for a bath.
At the end of trick or treating, we went to visit a haunted house at the Crawford's house. It was quite scary, dark and not a lot of fun for the kids. I thought it was great. Well, they made it half way through and turned around at the part where you had to crawl on your knees through a dark tunnel.
Well, we had a great evening together! Fueling up for a long night
Here is where they were barely holding up their bags, they were so tired...

Halloween Parade at Memorial Elementary School

On Friday, Oct. 31st at Memorial Elementary we had a Halloween Costume Parade. It is so fun to be here with Madi and Maci and get to be with them even though I am at work (what a great profession). Many of the teachers, decided to dress up 50's. It was fun! Anyways, I took pictures of the girls and us getting ready to head off to school and at the parade. Maci's class also trick or treated around to the classrooms. My class had fall stations and made many crafts. I have posted these pictures on my class blog.

Edge Cheer Halloweeen Party 08'

Madi and Maci had a Halloween fundraising party at the Edge Cheer Center. Madison guest was cousin Peyton and Maci guests were Allie Cannady and Madi Culverhouse. My good friend Jenn Simmons supported the girls by bringing Taylor and her 2 cousins. Thanks guys for coming. Also, Cristy, Kip, Chloe and baby Kacee were there with us.
The kids had a blast. They had halloween games, dancing and a spooky lab upstairs. They also played limbo,Ice Cream Cake Dance and more. I think they liked just running around crazy.
There was a Halloween Costume Contest and out of the five kids I took, four got a place. That was fun! Thanks to the parents for cute costumes. Madi was a lovely pirate and placed fifth, Peyton was spiderman and placed fourth and Maci was little bo peep and placed third.
Also, my good friend Jenn's daughter Taylor and her cousin were the cutest punk rocker ballerinas and they got most creative. WAY TO GO!

"1st Annual Sisters of Faith Halloween Party"

On October 18th, my bible group got together at my house and we had our 1st annual Halloween party (right, ladies we are going to continue after all the fun?) with all of our kids. These girls are very special to me and are some of my closest friends and have a strong faith in God.
Well, we had a fantastic time! Each family bought a Halloween Food item and a Halloween Craft or game. So, we had a full afternoon planned.
The creative menu included the following: mummy hot dogs, spider web dip, witches calzones, frankenstein cake, monster mash (trail mix), apple grins (mouths made with apples, peanut buttter and candy corns), and many more wonderful treats.
We began with the food (of course). Then, we started our craft stations. The kids made spiders, a candy corn person, a bat, face painting station, pumpkin decorating, candy necklaces, and more.
We played pin the nose on the pumpkin and the highlight of the party was the Mummy contest. The kids paired up and were to wrap toliet paper around their partner to make the best mummy they could. Well, it was a tie (of course with kidos) and they all were winners. This game was hiliarous. It was a blast. Taylor Simmons was a hoot! She was so still and a great sport as Mrs. Mandy wrapped her up and then at the end after we were all taking pictures and laughing we noticed she was tearing up. We think she was over it as we all were making over how funny it was. She was a doll.
At the end of the party, Mrs. Jenn set up a party favor station. At the station, the kids picked up their party bags and put one item from each bowl. Then, the party favors turned into an activity and they had something to take with them with all the homemade crafts. Thanks girls for a great time! We will have to do it again next year.
Love ya'll!

School Days 08-09

October is a busy month. Last week at school we celebrated Red Ribbon Week. Learning about saying no to drugs and more. I took a picture of Madison on crazy socks day. It was funny because if you know Maci, she is very particular. She wouldn't participate in this day because the socks wouldn't match...That's our Maci.
I also got a quick snap of Maci on picture day. She looks adorable and is becoming such a big girl (our baby). Last week, our school also celebrated Fire Saftey week. So, I was able to get a few pictures of that event. So, enjoy the variety of pictures.

Her outfit was so cute...green sweater and green and brown checkered skirt set

Maci's 6th "Berry Special" Birthday Party

We had Maci's 6th Birthday at T&R funhouse in Winter Haven Floirda.
It is such a cool place. They have 3 party rooms. A huge kids maze, a large arcade and an Animal land section for stuffing an animal. The kids enjoyed going through the maze. At the top of the maze was a helicopter that they could move bounce in. They had games for everyone. A small section for infants, small arcade games for the shorter ones and games for adults. The party started with pizza and drinks. Then, we had cupcakes. Kip Drummond made the cutest pink cupcakes with fondant strawberries. After cupcakes, Maci opened her gifts. Then, off to Animal land. Maci got to choose a animal. She chose a poodle. She stuffed the animal and then placed in a wishing star. They spun her around three times as she made a wish before placing the star in her poodle. The poodle is really cute. It is dressed in a 50's poodle skirt and top. We had a fun day. Maci has Madi Culverhouse and Allie Cannady over to spend the night. WHEW...it was a long weekend but worth it for her excitement!

Go Ashley, my kind of snack...

Recently, my bible group met at Panera Bread to enjoy a cup of coffee and discuss our upcoming study. This was the first time in awhile that everyone was there so, I had to take a picture. We have 4 new mommies in our Bible Group. Jenn, Cristy, Courtney and Barbie. They all have gorgeous little babies. I am glad we all got together. Never pass up coffee with friends.
